Test: Do cap brands affect accuracy?

Traditions St.Louis Hawken .54cal
Schuetzen 2fg & 3fg will be tested
.020" Patches Lubed with Frontier's Bear Paws patch lube
.530 round balls weighed in at 224 to 224.6 grains
Swabbed between each shot
All shooting will be done at 50 yards to help eliminate shooter error.
Percussion Caps Tested will be #11, CCI , CCI Magnum and Dynamit Nobel 1075
70gr Schuetzen 3fg, #11 CCI Magnum Caps.

I'll be curious to see your results. I think that maybe the hotter caps (CCI Magnums and the RWS 1075) may give higher velocities and therefore show a different point of impact on the targets. As for a change of accuracy; I will await your results.

I'm assuming (and we all know what that does) that you will be using the same powder and powder charge in the same rifle, cleaning between tests to keep everything the same except for the primers. Then repeating this with the next type of powder.
Are you going to run these through a chronograph also, to see if there are changes in velocity due to percussion cp change?
