Doing Your Re-Enactment Correctly.
SUBJECT: Doing Your Re-Enactment Correctly.
Several of my good friends & yours truly are always being asked if:
The key word is "RESEARCH", verify everything you're going to wear, how it's made, correct period material for the time, location your wears will be worn, etc. Same goes for what you eat, how it's prepared, etc. Doing a re-enactment correctly takes a lot of time preparing and time in taking part in that event. We have worked up to a year in doing a month outing.
That said, here are examples studied by the serious re-enactors in gathering their wares. A good friend and fellow writer Mr. Michael Moore & yours truly prepared this information years ago. Both of us have received nice complements for our efforts. Both of us are AMM and local muzzleloading club members for more years than most have been around.

- 1.) What we wear is that correct for the period?
2.) How we do things, is that correct for the period?
3.) How do we know what is correct or incorrect?
