Looks like a nice camp. I've had a few like that, where it was supposed to be a hunt but ended up a glorified camping trip, with guns. As the owner of a 1989 Ford extended cab Ranger, I like the truck also.

Re: 2022 Doe hunt
We take a large cooler and get approx. 20 lbs of dry ice and approx. 20-30 lbs of regular ice. In the same cooler will keep for over 7-10 days.

Stan thank you for bringing back memories of the past hunts that we took part in. Old friend Uffda and several others (now gone) had camp setup much like yours and the boys. If we were in better health, we would be with you (invited of course).
This past three years has been a butt kicker for Uffda and me. I'm recovering from a Hernia operation that was hell for five days of being constipated and bloated. Talk about being in bad shape WOW ... Thank God all my issues have passed, won't wish this on my most hated person.
This is like our old hunting camps, good for a few days or a month or longer
(our old hippy mood from the past life as Uffda would say).
When I have a health issue, I call Uffda, he always has good advice, get his response then I go to my doctor. That's pretty bad that you go to a friend that had the same issues first before talking to the doctor that seems to be out in left field at times. !@$%^

I didn't get my deer, however, we really had a lot of fun and enjoyed the hunt. The camper is a lot more comfy, but we used to hunt like this years back. It was good to get back to basics, as we may all be doing it soon...

You know Buck, those of us with the experience and skills and fortitude, know how to make do, and survive. If we trained and brought up our kids to be strong and independent, they will also make it. The rest of them will perish pretty fast though.

Kids can make strange decisions, though. My youngest graduated from high school, had his 18th birthday a couple of days later and two days after that was out of the house so he could smoke weed & do all the stuff he didn't learn from us. A year later he asked to come home & straighten out so he could go in the Army, which he did. I was SO proud of him when he was sworn in. Then 1 1/2 year later he was kicked out for smoking dope again.
He's done some great & wondrous things since, now is living in a tent in Florida. But he has a job & is saving up for 1st month, last month & deposit on a place to rent. Funny, we got lots of comments on what a great, well mannered & hard working kid he was. Guess he still is, just needs to get the wild stuff out of the way....

WH, you do the best you can, the rest is up to them! We all make mistakes in life, it's how you correct those mistakes that count. You take care friend.
