An easy Mountain Man camp
My personal camp! A 10x10 pyramid tent with a single pole in the center. Plenty of room for comfort and storage! This tent also has a fly that attaches to the front of the tent and it tied into place, along with two extra poles to hold it outward. Great for placing a couple chairs under during the heat of the day.
Plenty of wooden storage boxes area huge welcome! Storing everything from shooting gear to personal gear, to cooking essentials can handily be stored away safely.
Fresh coffee is always a must!
A brass coffee grinder can be seen on the table.
Plenty of candle lanterns are a must!

.
This is one of our setups that in later years we used the most because of the lighter weight and fewer items to carry. An easy plan is write everything down your taking to your next camp, when that item is used put a check mark reside the items. Once home look at your list and remove items from your setup that were not used, next camp take only items used. You'll be surprised how few items are really needed and how much lighter your camp is. Use items that can be used for several chores (the more uses the better), example your belt knife has many uses and is the only knife needed. The fork you use for turning meat on the fire can be used for a number of things, just think about it ?
This camp can be easily carried in one trip by two men that are using this setup (some of the more primitive camps don't allow any vehicle in camp). That means you could be packing your wares a mile or better from the appointed parking lot.
I'll dig up my list we use to use a few years ago and put it up here. A good example seen in this picture of the above camp is several items when only one could be used.

I had an awesome time with Jonathan at that camp. Very comfortable sleeping quarters. Great food and great people. It was just a great time to spend with him.

Anytime away from the normal way of life is "an awesome time". As you get older you'll fine you'll think more and more about those times Stan.

That is why it is so much fun hunting with Jonathan and his brother Stan J. Even we we get skunked the memories are priceless. We always have a good time hunting, camping, or rendezvous. Got 3 boy and a girl and those kids are just a real joy to me. I've been blessed with great children.
