Coning stones update
Done! Stones worked beautifully. Afterward I used 0000 steel wool and 800gr puffing pad to polished it to a mirror. I can see some minor edges that need to be knocked out of the rifling, but that will happen once I lap the bore.
This is what I call the Patch cutter. This crown is very square and I've had nothing but fits, with this style, cutting patches while loading. I feel its more geared toward conicals.
This was not a true Coning job. Just enough to ease up stress on the patch at the muzzle and to prevent the patches from being cut.

That's about what my rifle crown ended up like. I've also coned a rifle I had. It worked great to load with cut patches, but cutting the patch at the muzzle was problematic as using the knife pulled the ball back out of the bore. With the crown like you have, starting the ball is easier but it is still held tight enough that it doesn't pull out when I cut the patch.
