Range time with the Kadooty Empty Range time with the Kadooty

So I'm definitely going to have to work up a new patch combo for this rifle. Both the hodgdon spit patch lube and the pre oiled track of the wolf patches in .020, all blew out. The track of the wolf patches, I only found pieces of.
I plan on taking my regular .54 to the range tomorrow as I have a load worked up for it already.
The Kadooty idea makes sense but to be honest,  I've shot some amazing groups without it.
I'll do a lot more testing. Just cool to actually try one!
3 and 5 shot groups. I used 6 o clock hold for the first 5 and 12 o clock for the next 3 and 5 with the oiled patches.

How did the rifle shoot with regards to blown patches before using the kadooty?

I used two methods over the years to stop blown patches. One way was to use an over powder wad. That worked okay but I wasn't entirely satisfied for some reason or other. I started using thicker, stronger patches that I cut out myself from material I liked. But I still sometimes use both together with a patch under the thickly patched ball. I don't quite know why I do this, but if anyone has an answer as to why; I'm all ears.
