New hunting vest

Found an old tandy kit at rendezvous.  I went to hobby lobby, found matching leather lacing. Not a bad looking vest! I'll let it age naturally over the years. Not adding buttons either, just let it hang freely. 

We need a photo of it hanging on your body! If you feel too bashful, put a paper bag over your head....

Here's an idea to give your vest a little touch for the period.

Wow Jonathon, I can't understand how I missed that photo of you wearing the vest! You need to tie a rope to it and drag it behind your truck a bit to make it match the trousers.

It looks good; a bit of bead work like Buck suggests and you'll be the envy of everyone at Rendezvous!

When the movie "Centennial" was being filmed several of our background actors showed up with new buckskins (they stood out like a sore thumb). The director was going to have their people put leather dye on the brain tanned leather. At that time those outfits were worth in the $2,000 range. I got that stopped and told Virgil (the director) to holdup, and we took care of the problem with a wrestling match, those outfits looked pretty good after 15 minutes of rolling on the ground.
