Jonathon's .54 Rifle F.S.

Can't reply to the advertisement so I figured I'd do it here:

Jonathon, where are you getting the .54 CVA barrels? Deer Creek? Inquiring minds need to know....

Long ago from DC. They no longer have the 54s offered sadly.

The original owners bought the barrel making equipment from Douglas when they stopped making muzzle loader barrels.  What I remember is that they were making their own for the kits they sold, which included the Mountain Rifle (although not called that).  It doesn't seem like the kids who took it over from them are doing that anymore.  Too bad, too.  DC used to make their own stocks also, but that stopped when their stockmaker went on to other endeavors.  That was before the company changed hands. Now it seems like they are only selling what is left on hand.
