thank you for posting, on the subject. look's like it is all 3FG. BP, granules? now I know what to do with my mothers 100+ yr. old cast iron zinc coated hand crank meat grinder that she used to mount onto the dinning room table. I last used it 46 + yrs ago when I trapped to grind up bait. toot.

I make 2fg-3fg & 4fg all in one grind. Anything finer, gets mixed with alcohol, pressed into pucks, then broken up and re-ground.

so waist not want not! I like the term puck, do you use a cupcake tin to put it into till it solidifies? toot.

This practice was a common thing back at the turn of the century (1900) when cannon powder was all that was available. Just had to go slow, watch out for friction that could get hot and spark.
