Investarm Bridger Hawken build

A lot of work yesterday! Taking a break today. Just need to finish the lock panels and then start fine sanding and whiskering the stock. I'll stop at 600 grit.
I'll be working up a faux maple stripe plan for it as well.
Barrel will be blued on this one since the under rib is aluminum. I can live with that.

A great way to work the lock panel is by using a 9mm or 3/8" wooden dowel and wrap a section of sand paper around it and tape it on.

Just a couple shots of the investarm Bridger Hawken 50cal I put together. Literally finished bluing the remaining 3 screws I had left and took a couple pics. Stock still needs waxed, but that will come this time next week.

Tru oil finish, brass hit with 320 grit sand paper and buffed with an 800 grit buffing pad for a nice brushed look. This will take on a very pretty yellow color as it starts to tarnish.

That did turn out to be a very nice build. It really makes me want to do a kit; just don't have the $$ to get one and escape domestic violence.
