Traditions Mountain Rifle Build

The journey continues.............with a Traditions Mountain Rifle Kit! I pretty much fell in love with this one right out of the box! Excited to see what can be done with it!

I will capture my thoughts and challenges and document the build process. This will take awhile as I am super busy with my work gig! Kit unboxing pics follow.

They are amazing kits! I wish I still had one.

Jon - this kit is sweet. Pretty close tolerances on the inletting except the rear area for the trigger assembly. that will require JB Weld for the screw to purchase as there is no wood under the rear screw hole. Other than that, it is pretty much good to go. Usual wood reduction around the nose cap and butt plate.

I was surprised the hardware is a mix of steel and brass, hopefully my bluing skills will be better and I can get them all to a uniform color.

Maybe it's time for you to order another kit and keep this one for your self?
